The day was 23rd Dec,2012. and the Venue was FABUNMI MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL football field Surulere area of Ikoro road.
Pastor Adeboye

All Christians in and around the town of Okemesi and the neighboring towns viz: Ikoro, Aramoko, Ilesha, Ikirun Ijero, Ila Orangun Esa Oke, and beyond, all trooped out awaiting the visit of the annointed man of God in the land of the brave.

The pomp

The crowd gathered since early in the day in an attempt to meet up with the blessings coming from the man of God. But the man could not arrive until late in the afternoon. He headed straight to the Owa Ooye's palace for the royal vistation and blessings. Having done that, he later came to the venue that was already decorated in a befitting manner for his reception. He stepped on the stage with all in attendance trying to take a glance at his face. What a surprising visit! It was only few people who ever believed it could be realized even when the whole machinery had already been put in place.

Eventaully, he steped on the podium for all to see. Next after this was the welcome address presented by His Royal Majesty, Oba Gbadebo Adedeji, the Ariyowonye II of Okemesi Ekiti. The King could not hide his joy as he stepped forward, removing his well beaded crown  in an attempt to honor the most High King of Kings.

In his speech, he welcomed the man of God on behalf of the entire Community.  He also congratulated the Community members for the blessings awaiting them and the luck that followed Pastor Adeboye to the land. He highlighted further that; he believed that his visit will bring back the fortunes and past lost glories of the land of the brave.

He enjoyed all the Community members to pray for the good of the land.
In his words, Pastor Adeboye also thanked all the people in attendance and congratulated the Community for the blessings that awaits them.

He said that; Okemesi was so lucky to have been found on the list of the towns queueing and clamoring for his attendance. He indeed said that he had to consult God in silence before choosing to come around while God asked him to go and bless the land. He also said that, the community prayers had been answered even before getting to the venue of his reception.

He then called on those who were wating and who had submitted their lives to Christ to come out, and hundreds of people did. and he blessed them all.
